Experimental Biomolecular Physics

KTH (Royal Institute of Technology)

Applied Physics, KTH

AlbaNova University Center

The aim

This year the course will give brief introductions to a broad range of fields within life science technology. Leading researchers from both KTH and Shanghai Jiao Tong University (ranked as #1 in medical technology research and education in China) will give short tutorials of their fields.

Topics range from proteomics, neuroengineering, bio-nano-engineering, lab- on-chips diagnostics, brain simulation, tissue engineering and more, including a ping-pong tournament.

Target

The course is open for both PhD and MSc students at KTH and Shanghai Jiao Tong. Except giving an overview of the frontiers in bio- and medical technology the course is an excellent opportunity for those interested in the postdoc or master thesis opportunities in Shanghai.

Location and credits

The weeklong course, located at Campus Valhallavägen in Stockholm, will be worth 4.5 ECTS credits for KTH-registered students. Participating in all the activities and taking part in the discussions will examine the course. The course is arranged by the KTH-SJTU Joint Center for Innovation driven Biomedical Research and Education. This is the third year the school is arranged.
